The world has changed. Hotels need to digitize their processes to be more efficient and adapt to the needs of a new type of guest which demands a more digital experience with real time information.

STAY is a Guest Experience System (GXS) which digitizes the hotel’s services in order to provide guests with a better experience during their time at the hotel. With STAY guests can manage all their needs during their stay with their own device while the hotel can respond to guest requests more efficiently and get feedback about guest satisfaction levels to provide them with the best guest experience possible.

About the Role

We are seeking an adaptable Junior Backend Developer to support essential maintenance and enhancement tasks within our SaaS platform.

Under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you will work alongside experienced team members across various departments, including Customer Success, Product, Sales, and IT. Your contributions will focus on routine implementation tasks that are critical to our daily operations and overall success. This role provides a supportive environment where you can develop your software development skills while contributing to the stability and performance of our SaaS platform. What You Will Do

As an enthusiastic and proactive Junior Backend Developer, you will primarily focus on:

• Assisting in the development and delivery of quality software code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of apps, including uploading videos to S3, managing new fonts, and updating strings.
• Participate in configuring and activating existing integrations with various platforms and services, ensuring timely completion according to specific project deadlines.
• Manage the creation and updating of subdomains, as well as customization elements such as names and logos for the PWA.
• Support content updates, including updating graphical content and URLs across various applications.
• Assist in the synchronization and downloading of critical data and reports from the Admin system.

What You Need

• +1 years of experience in a software development role, preferably within a technology-driven organization.
• Experience with PHP, Nodejs will be a bonus.
• Exposure to frameworks like Symfony or Nodejs frameworks.
• Basic understanding of relational databases, preferably MySQL.
• Some familiarity with REST API development.
• Knowledge of object-oriented software development and basic design patterns.
• Experience with version control tools, preferably Git.
• Basic understanding of Docker.
• Good communication skills for daily interactions with team members and stakeholders.

Bonus points for…

• Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD).
• Experience with any cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
